SURANYI was founded in 1970 by Jo Suranyi, and soon specialized in the manufacture of competition canoes and kayaks.
The company's track record as a kayak manufacturer is unrivalled, with several world championship titles in slalom, downhill and racing, including 3 Olympic titles (boat and paddles) at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games.
In 1996, the company was transformed into a SARL (limited liability company) with Patrick Suranyi as manager, who developed the trading business by importing the BRACA brand.
2009 saw the launch of the kayak-online.fr competition website, as well as the import of the NELO range.

We're passionate about competitive kayaking, but we're not forgetting hiking, so in 2015 we'll be offering you the GUMOTEX range, a quality product made in the Czech Republic, for which we also provide after-sales service and repairs.

Team Suranyi is first and foremost a family, and a long-standing commitment to canoeing and kayaking:

Gisele Suranyi: competitor in kayak racing and Dragon Boat, multiple French champion, doctor for the Franche Comté regional canoe-kayak committee.

Patrick Suranyi: Former road racer, medallist at the French and Hungarian championships, shaper of numerous kayak forms, 30 years' experience.

Thomas Suranyi: competitive canoeist with several French championship titles to his credit.

Nicolas Suranyi: A former competitor in racing canoes, he now has a passion for whitewater and is a FFCK instructor.

A small team, but a big passion!
